About the Balloon Team
Russell (Director and Chief Pilot) and Crew are hot air balloonists with a real passion for hot air ballooning and a love of the sport and the great outdoors. As well as having a lot of fun we like to provide great hot air ballooning experiences for people in a professional manner. We know how to take care of you and safety is our key focus; we have a 100% passenger safety record and work hard to maintain it.
High Road Balloons have fully qualified staff and our team are members of the British Balloon and Airship Club. Our operations are conducted in accordance with the CAA issued Air Operation Certificate guidelines and are annually inspected by the CAA. In addition our balloons and equipment are maintained, inspected and certified as Airworthy by the BBAC and the CAA. Your Pilot holds a current unrestricted Commercial Pilot Licence for hot air balloons and flight voucher prices are fully inclusive of insurance. The Team at High Road Balloons have experience of hot air ballooning in various countries the world over. We took part in the 2011 Cross Channel World Record Flight with a very successful crossing to France. We have flown in the Swiss and Austrian Alps, India, The UAE, Thailand, Italy, France, The Southern Alps in New Zealand and the Republic of Ireland. We have flown in many areas of the UK including: Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex. Bristol and South Wales. Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire and The Cotswolds, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Herefordshire Shropshire and North Wales.
